KNOWHOW™ DELIVERY SERVICES

We’ll deliver your product at a time to suit you on behalf of Dixons.co.uk

There are various delivery services to choose from; you can get it tomorrow or a few days later, in the morning or evening including weekends – just select an option to suit you.Our first delivery is made at 7am and last at 8pm and we will always phone you 30 mins before we are due to arrive.

Please note that some items are delivered direct by the manufacturer and not by KNOWHOW where different terms and conditions apply.

 

TIME TO SUIT DELIVERY ON LARGE PRODUCTS

(Large screen TVs 40”+ and above and selected large domestic appliances)

Great news! KNOWHOW™ offers you the choice of 4 hour time slots for your delivery to ensure that your large product arrives when you want it to, as an alternative to our standard free all day delivery. Simply choose at the checkout which slot suits you best, giving you greater control over your delivery time.

Subject to availability, you can select from:

7am –11am
9am–1pm
11am–3pm
1pm–5pm
3pm–7pm

This flexible delivery slot leaves you free to carry on with what’s important to you and relax with the KNOWHOW™ that we’ll deliver to you between those times.

In all cases, we can remove the packaging for you & take away your old product to save you the hassle, and we can do this for free.

GET NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON LARGE DOMESTIC APPLIANCES & LARGE SCREEN TVs (Subject to availability)

If you order a large domestic appliance such as a washing machine or a large screen TV (40 inches and over), you can have your order delivered to your door the next day for just £8.99. This option is available if you place your order before 7pm. If you wish to select a next day delivery, you will not be able to select a 4 hour time slot as they are all day deliveries. Our next day delivery option excludes products delivered directly from the manufacturer. The delivery information on the product page and in the checkout can tell you whether the manufacturer will deliver your product. 

GET AN UPDATE THE NIGHT BEFORE

If you choose our standard delivery option and you want to find out what time we’re due to deliver, you can use our delivery tracker by clicking here after 9pm the night before your delivery date for a more accurate picture of our delivery schedule (delivery update lines open between 9pm - 10pm). Please be aware that for large box items such as 40" TVs and white goods, your delivery time slot information will not be available until 10pm.

You’ll just need your delivery reference number – it starts with the figures ‘74’. You can find it on your email confirmation, or if you’ve bought in store on your till receipt.

If you have provided us with a mobile number, we will send you a text message by 10pm the evening before as a reminder.

IF YOU’VE ORDERED A LARGE PRODUCT:

Large products such as cookers, fridge/freezers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, plasma TVs, and some large screen TVs are generally delivered by our KNOWHOW™ delivery teams. Here’s what you need to know:

  • It’s free if you are happy to wait for an all day delivery date. Alternatively you can purchase a 4 hour delivery slot to suit you, or next day delivery of your item.
  • We deliver to all UK addresses (including Northern Ireland) and the following islands: Isle of Sky, Isle of Sheppey, Angelsey and the Isle of Wight. This excludes the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and BFPO (British Forces Post Office addresses).
  • We’ll take away your old appliance for free recycling. We do this as standard when you order a replacement large appliance from us.
  • If you purchase installation when you order, you’ll have your old appliance disconnected for you click here for details.
  • Deliveries are made 7 days a week, usually between 7am and 8pm. Free delivery options are available from 2 days depending on availabilty of delivery slots in your postcode. We usually have your purchase with you within 3-5 working days.
  • To track the progress of your order and find your estimated delivery time [available on the day of your delivery], just go to knowhow.com and enter your order reference number, found in the top left hand corner of your email confirmation, into the ‘track it’ box.

IF YOU’VE ORDERED A SMALL PRODUCT:

Small products include items such as iPods, sat navs, cameras, software and laptops, so if you’ve ordered one those, here’s some info:

  • It’s free if you select standard delivery.
  • We deliver to all mainland UK addresses (including Northern Ireland). This excludes the Channel Islands. We also exclude BFPO (British Forces Post Office addresses).
  • Delivery is by courier (Yodel) or by post, you’ll find out which when you receive our confirmation email.
  • Standard delivery is Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), generally from 7am to 8pm, and we aim to get your purchase to you within 3-5 working days. Please allow 4-7 working for extended Bank Holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter.
  • When possible we offer a flexible delivery service, available from Monday to Saturday on a day or timed slot of your choice with delivery from the day after the date you place your order (subject to availability). This is available at checkout for a small extra charge.
  • If your order is being delivered by courier you can track your parcel by clicking on the link in your order confirmation email.

SOME IMPORTANT NOTES

  • On some products, we offer the option to order an item in advance if it’s not in stock at the time, but we know that more stock is on its way and we will let you know the date we expect delivery to be available on the site. If you purchase two or more products at a time, they may have different availabilities and methods of delivery, in which case you may receive your items individually as soon as they become available.
  • Please be aware that we cannot offer VAT refunds to overseas customers ordering goods to be delivered to a UK address. We do everything we can to ensure our delivery times are met but sometimes delays do occur with deliveries to the Scottish Islands and during peak ordering periods. We will let you know if we become aware of any unexpected delays.
  • Before we arrive, we would ask that you ensure that the old appliance is in a fit state to be taken away by us. For a refrigeration appliance, for example, that means that it should be free of water & fully defrosted.
  • If you haven’t opted for an installation services but would like your old one taken away, no problem. Just make sure you’ve safely disconnected your old appliance before we arrive. Please use a qualified engineer to do this – for example gas and dual fuel cookers should be disconnected by Gas Safe Register approved engineers.
  • In some instances we may not be able to remove your old appliance if for example:
    • your appliance is hard wired into a fused spur
    • your appliance has seized up tap connections
