Similar in specification to the 550D, this 18 mp camera adds a high resolution 3-inch vari-angle screen that is invaluable in helping you frame photos from a variety of viewing positions. With the EOS 600D you can shoot pictures over or under obstacles, and capture discreet and natural-looking candid photos without raising the camera to eye-level.
Extremely beginner-friendly, the EOS 600D DSLR includes an on-screen Feature Guide for an explanation of each of the camera's functions, as well as a Basic+ function that allows fine-tuning of auto modes. In addition to all of the manual control you'd expect in an SLR, the EOS 600D also offers a Scene Intelligent Auto mode - which lets you concentrate fully on perfectly framing each photo without worrying about settings!

Video shooters will appreciate the EOS 600D's ability to capture stunning Full HD movies with manual control over frame rates, exposure, and sound. A mini HDMI connector allows you to hook up the camera to an HDTV for a big-screen viewing of your movie masterpieces!
The lens included in this kit is the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS with optical image stabilisation. Taking the 1.6x crop factor of the EOS 600D into account, the 35mm equivalent focal length of this lens is approximately 29-216mm - which makes it a great walkabout optic for the majority of photographic subjects! The built-in image stabilisation allows up to 4 stops of extra leeway for handheld shooting in low light.
